Cardiomyopathy

Cardiomyopathy

Dear Dr Gunaratne:
Sorry for the delay in replying. If you need any information from his file I will provide it with pleasure. It might be an interesting case to present at rounds somewhere. Mr Haque is indeed a very fascinating case. He presented several years ago at my office with dilated cardiomyopathy of no known cause. I found a high lead level, and he had several chelation treatments. From a very dilated heart 3/4 dilated cardiomyopathy with serial ultrasounds, we followed him till over a period of a year he completely resolved and had a normal heart. Then several months later he recurred and I treated him with homeopathy, and he turned out to need Plumbum (homeopathic lead) and Gelsemium (yellow jasmine) and the story there was quite fascinating. I will tell you about it when I speak with you. Then he got better and then worse again and so   I sent him to Dr Naqvi a conventional cardiologist and he put him on Digitalis which as you know is a heart tonic and again, he did very well. Then he had symptoms again. In my opinion his heart kept decompensating because we really did not address the underlying cause. I would agree with you that the problem had something to do with the temporal lesion and the Vagus nerve. I am completely delighted that after treatment of his condition with osteopathy he is now off medications. I have a feeling that he will be well permanently now. Very interesting case because I will look at dilated cardiomyopathy differently from now on. Best Regards Mary Danylak, MD.
